The willow lantern workshop is for those with neurodiversity and their families/ carers to participate in celebrating guy fawkes. We understand that fireworks can be overwhelming for those with neuro-diverse conditions.

Each family will work together to create one lantern. We will make and decorate a lantern, and at the end of the workshop we will celebrate by lighting our lanterns (Please bring a mobile phone or torch).

At SPCA we are committed to providing low-cost access to arts and crafts.

The workshop will run from 2pm-4pm for 2 hours, the workshop will be covering the willow lanterns and decorating themin the first half of the session. Then we have hot chocolate and light up the lanterns to see everyone's wonderful creations.

Participants have the chance to engage in the activities to express themselves and reduce any anxieties they had prior. This also provides a safe space to celebrate guy fawkes without any fireworks.
