Creative and Inclusive Facilitator

I am a Welsh creative and inclusive facilitator who works with a range of participants to improve their mental well-being and quality of life through creative art activities. As a facilitator, I apply the person-centred theory alongside a non-directive approach, meaning I tailor the sessions to the needs, wants and likes of the individual, creating a very personal journey. whilst facilitating the sessions, I adapt to what the participant(s) wants, whether it's calming or active, the overall sessions are to support positive wellbeing through therapeutic art.

I tend to work with 1-1 sessions or small groups, when I work with larger groups or drop-in sessions, I create the sessions with a variety of activities where the participants are able to have freedom within the selected activities.

Even though I am not a fluent welsh speaker, I try to include my heritage into my practice for me and others to be able to celebrate the wonderful welsh culture where we can.

Through my practice and my personal life, I have experienced working with a variety of participants from all walks of life, whether they are neurodiverse, carers, have learning or physical disabilities, mental health challenges, children, families and older adults with dementia. Not only have I had the pleasure of helping individuals improve their mental well-being but also gained new knowledge and approaches by working with these individuals.
